What Do I Wear To Class?
Correct attire is very important as it will help the dancer to move freely. It makes it difficult when students have baggy or restrictive street clothes on.
At All That Jazz, we have a uniform which can be purchased from the front desk. It includes the studio top (in various styles) and jackets. The studio colours are red, royal blue and black! Dance pants, skirts, leotards and hot shorts can also be worn in these colours.
Make sure that socks or stockings are worn with ALL dance shoes and to have hair tied back neatly.
BOYS - to wear a T-shirt, shorts or dance pants.
BALLET CLASS - Students are to wear a black or pink leotard, pink ballet stockings, pumps (NO jazz shoes), hair in a neat bun so it doesn't fall out. This is to be worn to every ballet lesson. (Boys to wear a white T-shirt, black long dance pants and pumps)
SHOES - Ballet pumps, jazz shoes, tap shoes, (Pointe shoes, Chorus & t-bar shoes for the older students) are the main shoes worn with dance sneakers being worn in Sub & Senior Jazz classes only. Jiffies are not recommended for the little ones as they slip on the floor and are made of synthetic material which doesn't breathe. Pumps or jazz shoes can be worn in acro classes but you will need to get rubbers sewn on the bottoms of them. (Boot makers can do this for you)
Remember if you look the part you will definately dance the part! |
